shooting brooklyn is the photography website of Katie Chao and Ben Muessig. We live in Brooklyn, New York, and we photograph the world we see — from urban minutia and cityscapes to portraits and events. Whether we are photographing a wedding or a protest, we aim to merge photography’s journalistic and artistic traditions to create documentary images that are expressive and visually compelling.
Our photos have appeared on gallery walls around the city and the pages of publications including the New York Post, The Brooklyn Paper, LES$ Magazine and Ninja Magazine.
We are available for shoots, and our prints are always on sale.
