About Jamila {jamilaproductions.com/art}

Founder of JAMILA productions.

Why Jamila? What does it mean? It’s an earned name, from the Moroccans. It loosely means “beautiful.”

I am an artist & writer & editor.

At a young age I was determined to go to New York for my next life phase, and I did, to study Literature (English, American, Arabic). Words will always be my closest friends, my favorite tools. I left New York in the summer of 2011 to live in New Mexico. Lured by the desert, inspired by the sky, nestled between the Rio Grande River and Sandia Mountains I lie - pondering, philosophizing, dreaming and creating.
